English language skills are vital for migrants to New Zealand. That's why Immigration Placement Services has teamed up with the expert language tuition provider English-to-Go to provide migrants with the best possible start.
In partnership with NorthTec, the Northland Polytechnic, English-to-Go has launched a flexible English course that is specifically designed for migrants to New Zealand.
The course utilises the internet, telephone tutors and optional class sessions to provide excellent training in all facets of English: reading, writing, listening and speaking.
The course is designed around life and culture in New Zealand which gives students the opportunity to get to know life in this country as they progress through this course.
Students get a personal tutor who is ESL qualified and based at NorthTec; there are tests and assignments throughout the course.
Feedback has been very positive to date, not least because students find it easier to complete the course because of the mode of delivery - either from work or home (or both) rather than having to travel to a school to undertake their study.
The total course covers a 24 week period or you can opt for 6 or 12 week short courses.
